The ShakeOut earthquake drills are coordinated by the Southern California Earthquake Center at the University of Southern California. The tremor triggered a warning from the ShakeAlert system, which detects the start of a quake and sends warnings to areas expected to experience shaking. The real thing happened a day earlier, however, when a magnitude 4.2 quake struck southwest of California’s capital in the agricultural Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta region. Wrecking HavocĪfter the mission against Galvatron failed, Sandstorm was assigned to Earth duty full-time with Broadside and Inferno as an Advance Surveillance Unit for Galvatron's next move. Scourge and Cyclonus also retreated upon finding themselves badly outnumbered, and the Wreckers were forced to return to Cybertron to plan anew. But they were unwilling to simply abandon their leader to the Decepticons' mercies, and the Wreckers allowed Galvatron to escape in order to help their leader. Springer managed to lure Scourge and Cyclonus away, allowing the rest of his crew an opportunity to gang-up on Galvatron. Unfortunately, Sandstorm's efforts in this task were met with difficulty, as the humans couldn't tell Autobots apart from Decepticons. The Wreckers were forced to focus on clearing Galvatron out of the town and securing the safety of the humans rather than actually fighting to capture or kill the super Decepticon. ![]() This left the risk of civilian casualties unbearably high. Deadly Games! Unfortunately, their portal dropped the Wreckers on Galvatron right in the middle of a human town, while the latter was having a meeting with Cyclonus and Scourge. Sandstorm helped prepare the squad to jump to Earth and eliminate the threat of Galvatron after receiving a warning from Ultra Magnus and the Sparklers. "Coach, I want that hundred shanix." "You gotta earn it, kid!" The Autobots stood in solemn silence to honor Impactor's heroic passing. There, Sandstorm learned that a zombified Impactor had forfeited his (un)life in order to prevent the whole planet from blowing up. While Springer, Ultra Magnus, and Xaaron dealt with Flame, the rest of the group cut through the remnants of madbot's zombie army, and headed back to the surface. Unfortunately, they came to confront Flame too late his machines had already destabilized, and the countdown to Cybertron's destruction had already begun. Though their weapons proved completely ineffective against it, the Autobots managed to get through when Trypticon arrived, repaying a favor that fellow Decepticon Flywheels owed Ultra Magnus. Unfortunately, any further progress towards Flame's inner sanctum was blocked off by a massive blast door. They then bumped into a returning Springer, now accompanied by Ultra Magnus, Fizzle, Sizzle, and Guzzle. Sandstorm and the rest of the Wreckers managed to break out of their cell as well, reacquired their weapons, and once more took up the fight against the zombies patrolling Flame's headquarters. It's all part of a new program we like to call "Deep Hurting"! Distant Thunder! Along with Ultra Magnus, they fought alongside Prime against Straxus and his forces, plundering Decepticon strongholds of their energon before Optimus returned to the Autobots of Earth. All it yielded was Impactor's death, who was felled by a Decepticon nobody while the rest of the forces drew back. Such concerns became null when Volcano ultimately failed to lure their targets into the intended trap. However, there were still doubts as to whether the Triple Changers were up to their task in the mission. In order to make a good first impression on Impactor, their new commander, Sandstorm and his buddies beat the titanium-coated stuffing out of him, thus proving that they'd fit right in with the Wreckers. ![]() These are some tips to consider when adding music to your montage videos. For example, if you want to express joyfulness, then you should choose a happy song with a rhythm that can bring up people’s spirits if you want to express sadness, then you should choose a sad song with an emotional melody if you want to express anger or hatred, then use heavy metal music if you want to express love, then use romantic music etc. The most important thing when choosing a song is that it matches the emotion of your montage video. Think about the emotions you want to convey For example, if you want people to feel happy about something or if it's about a celebration, then an instrumental one will work better than a vocal one because most people don't like singing along with instrumental songs since they don't know what the actual lyrics are. It depends on what kind of effect you want to create in your audience's minds when they listen to it. Vocal songs have lyrics that can be sung along while listening to them, whereas instrumental ones don't have any words but only music in them. Keep in mind that there are two types of songs - instrumental and vocal If you have a long montage video (over 1 minute), you may want to use shorter songs (under 3 minutes) to fit seamlessly into each other without any awkward pauses or breaks in sound. This way, your viewers will know right away what type of movie they're watching and will be able to enjoy themselves more because they know what to expect from it visually and audibly. If you're making a romantic comedy movie, then try picking up some romantic pop songs instead of heavy metal ones or classical ones. Pick songs that match the genre of your video If you do, then your viewers will find it hard to connect with your movie because they will be distracted by the mismatch between what they see and what they hear. For example, if you're making a movie about love and romance, it doesn't make sense to use a heavy metal song about death and destruction. Many people make the mistake of choosing songs that don't fit their videos at all. Choose music that matches the mood of your video Here are some tips to help you pick the right music for your next montage: 1. The right song can make your montage video go viral, while the wrong one can make it fail miserably. The music is what makes the montage video so special. ![]() If you have ever been to YouTube and searched for montage videos, then you must have noticed that they all have one thing in common. However, just because these number are the same does not mean that all states are soluble. The number of solvable states is also 2 25, because each button is either pressed or not during solving. The number of distinct states is considerably fewer, since most of them are rotations and/or reflections of each other. This means that all solvable states are solved by a specific button combination, and the order the buttons are pressed is irrelevant.īecause there are 25 buttons, each of which is either on or off, the number of possible states is 2 25, which is 33,554,432. The overall effect of pushing any button is completely independent of the state of the puzzle when it is pressed because it merely toggles between two states, therefore if a button is pushed twice it merely undoes the first push. The interesting thing about Lights Out is that for any solvable state, the solution never requires more than 25 buttons to be pressed. ![]() ![]() In other words, buttons which are dark become lit and vice versa. Lights Out is an electronic logic puzzle consisting of a 5x5 square array of buttons. Danny Elfman’s yearning, mischievous soundtrack has become the stuff of alternative culture legend. TNBC is clearly a labour of love - it’s intricately detailed and masterfully shot, with dynamic camera movements, tactile textures, and classic musical framing, all painstakingly created frame-by-frame over three years through the medium of stop motion. It’s a simple story, which makes it easy to get behind. The stop-motion musical about the Pumpkin King of Halloween stealing Christmas is a ‘Grinchian’ story with the added twist of the main character being good-hearted but having misguided, harmful aspirations. It would be criminal to rank Burton’s films without this in the line-up. ![]() It’s become a runaway hit in the years since it was released and is now virtually inescapable around both Halloween and Christmas. But Burton designed the characters and wrote the story while working at Disney in the early ‘80s. Okay, okay, so Tim Burton didn’t direct this one - celebrated stop-motion director Henry Selick did. With Addams Family spin-off Wednesday slated to hit Netflix on November 23rd and Beetlejuice 2 in early development, we’re donning our eyeliner and backcombing our hair to definitively rank all 20 of Burton’s films from worst to best. Abuse allegations between Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard have impacted the discourse on Burton’s films in recent months, but we’re choosing to focus on the director and his creativity for this list. Although he’s known for regularly casting actors like Helena Bonham Carter, Eva Green, and Danny DeVito, it’s Johnny Depp who stands above them all as Burton’s creative muse. Over the years, Burton’s cast of favourites have come to typify his style almost as much as the striking aesthetics and Danny Elfman soundtracks. They allowed us to explore and express our morbid, macabre identities in a world full of pastel-coloured ‘normal’ people. For many of us, Burton’s dark fantasy worlds were the gateway to alternative culture. It’s a visionary style perfectly suited to the kinds of stories he loves to tell - tales of the oddball outsider who’s unable to connect with the world. Burton’s unmistakable blend of German Expressionism and pastel Americana was a cinematic revelation that captured the audience’s imagination. ![]() ![]() Not to mention that Avery's biological mother comes back into the picture at one point. These signals are transmitted electrically across the soma and down a major extension from the soma known as the axon, which ends at multiple terminal buttons. The neuron is a small information processor, and dendrites serve as input sites where signals are received from other neurons. The soma has branching extensions known as dendrites. ![]() The nucleus of the neuron is located in the soma, or cell body. This illustration shows a prototypical neuron, which is being myelinated. This membrane allows smaller molecules and molecules without an electrical charge to pass through it, while stopping larger or highly charged molecules. A neuron’s outer surface is made up of a semipermeable membrane. Like all cells, neurons consist of several different parts, each serving a specialized function. Neurons are the central building blocks of the nervous system, 100 billion strong at birth. This section briefly describes the structure and function of neurons. Neurons, on the other hand, serve as interconnected information processors that are essential for all of the tasks of the nervous system. Glial cells provide scaffolding on which the nervous system is built, help neurons line up closely with each other to allow neuronal communication, provide insulation to neurons, transport nutrients and waste products, and mediate immune responses. Glial cells, which outnumber neurons ten to one, are traditionally thought to play a supportive role to neurons, both physically and metabolically. The nervous system is composed of two basic cell types: glial cells (also known as glia) and neurons. As for the mounting options, I personally would not recommend spending the extra $400 on the height-adjustable arm when you could spend half as much on a premium VESA-compatible monitor arm that will let you adjust the display any which way you want. That's what I consider a 'Studio' quality display.īut I have to grudgingly admit that Apple has created an excellent monitor in the Studio Display. I'd much rather Apple had budgeted the $1,600 differently by swapping the webcam, speakers, and microphones for a miniLED backlight and a true 10-bit panel that covers 98%+ of both DCI-P3 and AdobeRGB. I have a hard time praising the Studio Display because it's not the 'baby Pro Display XDR' that I was hoping Apple would release. On the other hand, it's extremely color accurate, color uniformity is excellent, and if you do own a Mac, it offers a seamless experience previously only available on the much more expensive Pro Display XDR. On the one hand, the price tag is sky-high for a 27-inch 5K panel that 'only' promises coverage of the DCI-P3 gamut and is basically incompatible with Widows.
